Joyce joined First Church in September 2016 as Organist and Music Director. She inspires us with selections from the organ and piano, during Sunday worship. She has also brought the joy of music to our congregation and community through guest musicians and vocalists,

Reverend Norman A. Michaud

Reverend Norman A. Michaud

Norman Avril Michaud was born in Portsmouth, NH. Norman attended the Iliff School of Theology, earning his Master of Divinity in 2016. He was ordained in 2018

He has a BA in English, a BS in sociology from Keene State College, and a Master’s in Writing from the University of New Hampshire in 1976. Norman taught high school and college composition in Maine and New Hampshire and ran school-wide writing programs for high schools in both states.

He served as the Pastor of Northglenn United Church of Christ in Northglenn, Colorado, from 2018 - 2021. He returned to New England as Pastor of the Congregational Church of Putnam, Connecticut, where he served for two years.

His wife, Sarah Scherer, has practiced as a life coach and spiritual director and also has a Master of Divinity from the Iliff School of Theology.
